Most people understand that creating a real business online takes some thought and effort. The advantage of the Internet is that it can let you get going a lot faster and with a lot less money than many traditional businesses.

Still, the majority never really get started.

The reasons are pretty standard. You may not believe you know anything that other people would pay to learn. You may be intimidated by the technology. You might get so wrapped up in the process of creating products that you never really think about how you're going to sell them when they're done.

Maybe you don't have a clue where to start. Or you might get distracted by the constant barrage of "must have" offers, wondering if you're missing something important. And you may just need a path to follow that actually takes you from start to finish, without skipping something important.

If you ask most people who've made it in the business what you need to do to succeed, they'll say pretty much the same thing: "You have to take action."

That's not real helpful, is it?

You already knew that. If you didn't, you wouldn't be asking what action to take.

What you need is a plan.

But Which Way to Go?

Here's some more reality for you: There are dozens, if not hundreds, of ways to make money online. They all have at least some of the challenges I mentioned above. Some have other challenges in addition, like larger financial requirements, long development times, heavy regulation or, in some cases, "questionable ethics."

No business model is perfect for every person. Including this one. Only you can decide if it's a good fit for you. It does have some significant advantages, though.

The main manual takes you through the entire thing, in order, from beginning to empire. It starts with a short, clear explanation of what you're going to do, so that each step makes sense in the overall process. This is something that most 'how to' courses leave out, and a major reason for a lot of people not getting the full benefit of what they learn.

It then explains why you should set an initial goal. Warning: It is not the usual 'positive thinking' reason. There's something much more practical behind this step, and you don't want to skip it.

From there, you will:
  • Choose a market, and know before you ever create your product where and how you're going to sell it. There's not much that's more frustrating than creating a product and then wondering, "Where do I find my customers?"

  • Verify that people are actually spending money on the kind of product you plan to create.

  • Choose a specific topic that people already want to know about. This makes for a much easier sale than trying to educate people about why they should buy what you're offering.

  • Create your product quickly. This section includes four separate processes for creating an outline and expanding it into the finished product. Pay close attention here, as the most common approach that people use in creating products is often exactly the wrong way to go about it.

  • Write your sales letter. There's a trick to this that can make it much simpler than you think if you've never done it before.

  • Set up shop and start selling as soon as the product is complete.

  • Get affiliates to expand your sales. This section explains something that very few courses bother telling you about what you need to offer to get affiliates excited. I suspect that it's so simple they just forget.

  • Put the whole thing on auto-pilot. Set up systems that will keep sales coming in over time, so you can keep profiting from this product while you create more products and build your customer list even further.
This isn't some massive, complicated thing that will take you forever to learn or to do. The main manual is only 50 pages, and each step is kept simple and short, so that you can move through the process and see results quickly.

If you have the basic technical resources I mentioned earlier, it's not unrealistic to think you could have your first product out there and selling within a week or two. If you have some experience and a list, or a website with regular visitors, it could even be faster.

It will sell a little at a time later, and can keep making you money for years.

Create new products. Offer them to your existing customers and folks who haven't ordered before. Get more affiliates and keep the thing growing.

Rinse, repeat. That's the way to build an empire.
